The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, has called a General Election for Thursday 4th July 2024. The East Worthing and Shoreham Conservative Association has chosen Leila Williams as their local Conservative Parliamentary candidate.
Commenting on her selection, Leila said:
“I am delighted to have been selected as the Conservative party candidate for the area in which I have lived and worked for many years”.
“I am a local mother of two with 15 years NHS service, currently working in Worthing and Southlands hospitals”.
“I am passionate about getting a better deal for working parents and developing affordable housing solutions for those looking to rent or buy. I also intend to use my extensive NHS experience to improve access to doctors and dentists as know these are really key issues in our local area”

- Succeeds Tim Loughton as Conservative candidate who has held seat for 27 years
- Former Adur District Councillor for Hillside ward
- Former Association Chairman for East Worthing and Shoreham Conservatives
- Currently Deputy Divisional Director of Operations for University Sussex Hospitals NHS FT
- Started working in the NHS 2008 and have held roles operationally and strategically in mental health, commissioning, and acute care
- Aged 40 with 2 children aged 17 and 3
- Born and educated in Brighton
- Crohn’s disease sufferer since the age of 12
- Enjoys running marathons
