Businesses and community organisations forced to close by the latest set of COVID lockdown restrictions are being urged to apply for vital funding - before a number of pots close at the end of this month.
Funding has been available throughout winter for those forced to close by both the Tier 4 measures and the current national lockdown.
With the government now looking to ease restrictions, these pots are due to close on 31st March 2021.
This deadline set by ministers has led to Adur & Worthing Councils issuing a final reminder to anyone forced to stop trading or close to apply for cash support via its easy-to-use online portals.
A range of support, including further grants for businesses still trading but impacted by COVID restrictions will remain available during the government roadmap.
From 1st April 2021 this includes a discretionary pot (ARG: Additional Restrictions Grant) for those businesses and organisations which have been impacted financially by the pandemic.
The Councils have supported thousands of sole traders, businesses and organisations so far - and it wants to continue that, as well as reaching out to those who may not have applied for support so far, such as those supporting hospitality and retail support chains.
Another available pot will be the Restart Grant, which was announced by the Chancellor in the budget. Further details on how to access this will be made available as soon as the Councils receive guidance and funding from central government. This grant will also be available in April.
