Thank you to all those who donated to our scheme to provide ‘goodie bags’ to care home workers in residential homes across East Worthing & Shoreham. We were able to deliver seasonal goodies including chocolates, booze and toiletries to hundreds of key workers who have often been rather overlooked despite all their amazing hard work and dedication throughout the pandemic. Hopefully this small gesture will have gone a little way to put that right. Santa Claus and this dodgy character with big ears helped out!
In these hardest of times, I wish you all the happiness that Christmas can bring to you and your families and friends. Perhaps spare a few minutes to knock on the door of a neighbour having to spend Christmas alone and check that they are alright as well. Be as merry as you can; rejoice at the Star of Bethlehem hovering over the Sussex Downs and all it means; and look forward to a New Year in 2021 that must surely be a great improvement on 2020 to which we say goodbye and good riddance. Merry Christmas!
