I have spoken to Matt Hancock who is the Health Secretary which means he is in charge of the vaccine and the boss of all the doctors and nurses who will be giving it out. He has spoken to his boss Boris Johnson, who is the Prime Minister and I am pleased to report that it is good news! Santa will definitely be in the first wave of people to receive the vaccine.
Because Father Christmas is so important - especially at Christmas time - he is right at the top of the list of people to be vaccinated.
Boris called the North Pole and has confirmed that Father Christmas is ready and raring to go, as are Rudolph and all of the other reindeer. Boris also confirmed that Santa has special permission to be able to go into people’s house to deliver the presents but it is even more important than ever this year that you are in bed and fast asleep all night long so he doesn’t get too close to you and everyone stays safe.
If you usually leave out a drink and a mince pie or something else for Santa then you might want to include some hand sanitiser as well this year to be extra safe.
