Visitors to Worthing Pier are being asked to follow a new one way system to ensure social distancing is maintained.
With the government relaxing some COVID-19 restrictions, Worthing Borough Council will reopen the seafront landmark on Wednesday 11th May 2020.
In order to make sure people keep two metres away from those not in their household, arrows have been created on the decking to act as a guide for pedestrians.
A Councils spokesman said:
"While we appreciate the importance of people getting out and about in the fresh air, we ask that everyone remains respectful of others when out and about by sticking to the social distancing guidelines.
"Our Beach Office teams will continue to monitor the pier so that it remains a safe place for people to visit."
