The Post Office is consulting with residents on making changes to the Mansell Road Post Office in Shoreham. These changes are taking place in line with the Post Office’s plans for investment and modernisation. Tim is encouraging local residents and Post Office users to have their say on the proposals before any decisions are made.
The proposed changes would mean:
• Post Office services would be offered from a till on the retail counter in a modern open plan branch instead of the separate screened counter
• The branch would be open for longer: Mon – Sat 06:30 – 18:00 &
• Sun 06:30 – 13:00. (Current opening times are: Mon - Fri 09:00 – 17:30 & Sat 09:00 – 12:30)
• Some services will no longer be available at this branch such as payments by cheque, on demand travel insurance, NS&I Premium Savings Bonds, transcash (with barcode) bill payments and Parcelforce Worldwide International parcels but all of these services will still be available at the Southlands Post Office on the Upper Shoreham Road.
• The branch may need to close for up to seven days during March/April 2015 while the refurbishment takes place
The Post Office want to know what customers think about the changes and are asking for feedback. This can be done through an online questionnaire by visiting www.postofficeviews.co.uk and entering the branch code: 08290899. Residents can also email [email protected], call the customer helpline: 08457 22 33 44, textphone: 08457 22 33 55 or write to the following (simple) address: FREEPOST Your Comments.
The Post Office will advertise in branch at least two weeks before to let customers know the exact date of closure. The Southlands branch will be open throughout the refurbishment of the Mansell Road Post Office.
