The community of Broadwater today welcomed a Village Sign, installed on Cricketer's Parade. The ceremony was opened by Cllr Bryan Turner, Cabinet member for Regeneration. He welcomed the guests to the event, and thanked Northbrook College who had been indispensible in the design and manufacture of the sign. He then introduced the Mayor of Worthing, Cllr Ann Barlow. She said she had lived in Broadwater for 16 yrs, and had always felt the strong community spirit of the area and hoped that the sign would be a focus to keep the spirit alive. The sign was then dedicated by the Rev Peter Irwin-Clark of St Mary's Broadwater Parish Church, which is featured in the sign.
