The Special Recognition Volunteer Award has been launched by Dr Tim Fooks, High Sheriff, to celebrate and acknowledge publicly those who have, in a voluntary capacity, shown exceptional acts of kindness and thoughtfulness during the pandemic lock-down and beyond.
The form for each nomination can be completed on behalf of those who have either received or have observed a volunteer doing great things for others.
It should include information that demonstrates why the care given has been so remarkable and special.
Please note this Award is specifically for individuals, of any age, who have acted in a voluntary capacity.
All nominations will be acknowledged and those that are successful will receive a special certificate. If restrictions are lifted, they will also be invited as special guests to join the High Sheriff at a prestigious celebration event.
The closing date for this Award will be 30th September 2020.
Nominations are open now and the nomination forms will be available from [email protected], local media and in Public Libraries.
