A walk-through coronavirus testing facility has opened in Worthing as part of the government's UK-wide drive to improve the accessibility of coronavirus testing for communities.
NHS Test and Trace are overseeing the operation, which is sited on a segregated section of the Civic Centre car park in Stoke Abbott Road.
The majority of the car park will remain operational, with the public able to use the pay and display facilities after 4pm on weekdays and at weekends.
Anyone with coronavirus symptoms can get a free swab test that takes less than a minute.
Tests should be booked or ordered as soon as symptoms begin:
Book a test and find out more about coronavirus on the NHS website
or by calling 119. Results will be provided the next day.
Strict public health measures will be introduced to ensure the safety of all involved at the walk-through testing site. These approaches have been agreed with expert clinical oversight.
Anyone attending an appointment will be provided with guidance on getting to and from the test site safely. This includes wearing a face covering throughout, practising social distancing and not travelling by taxi or public transport.
Additional support is available for vulnerable groups and people with disabilities.
