Day 4 of advent and we’re looking back to the first phase of the pandemic in Worthing.
Hearing heartbreaking stories of key workers finishing long shifts only to find that shelves were stripped bare, Tim Loughton MP led a local team of cllrs & volunteers to set up Shopital.
Donations of hot meals & food from; Focus Group, Curry Mahal, Shaan Indian Cuisine, Fish Factory, Kits Chutney, Amsterdam Inn, Truffles and Mel Humphreys meant we could continue to provide food for doctors, nurses and other staff finishing late for a further 2 months.
