On day six of our advent countdown we’re looking through the windows of businesses that have unfortunately had to close their doors during the two lockdowns.
During the course of the lockdowns the Conservative councils rapidly paid out well over £30m in different business support grants to traders across the hospitality and retail sectors, This meant that across the area nearly 3,000 employers were given assistance to keep the lights and be prepared to resume trading.
