Day 21 of advent and we are looking at the Furlough Scheme.
When the first lockdown hit many businesses had to close down, in response to this the Job Retention Scheme was introduced.
The Government stepped in to ensure that people who were unable to work would still receive at least 80% of their salary. Since then the Kickstart Scheme has been introduced to ensure that there are new job opportunities for people who have lost their employment due to the lockdown.
